If you are in the mood for a good safari tour on an epic river Nile adventure, then Murchison Falls National Park is a good place to visit. Spreading inland from the shore of Lake Albert around the Nile, Murchison Falls National Park forms part of the Murchison Falls Conservative Area (MFCA). Come see four of the ‘big five’ (elephant, lion, leopard and Cape buffalo) just above the Nile. Then have a peek at the famous Murchison Falls where the waters of the Nile squeeze through a narrow gorge to make a beautiful waterfall.

For the birders, these areas support the Secretary Bird, Black Chested Snake Eagle, Tawny and Marshal Eagles Carmine and Swallow-Tailed Bee-Eaters. After the game drive for about 4-5 hours, then return to the lodge for break and relaxation as you wait for lunch and the afternoon activities. Later in the afternoon after your lunch which will be at 1pm, you will head for a boat cruise experience at 2pm sharp. During the cruise you are most likely to see huge Nile Crocodiles, big Pods of Hippos and other wildlife that may come down to drink from the river. After the boat cruise for about 2 hours, you will be dropped at the shores where another guide will walk (hiking) you up to the top of Murchison Falls where the Nile thunders through a small 7-meter gap and empties into Lake Albert.

You will then return to your accommodation and then later have dinner and overnight. Photo credits: Peter Hogel
